Assembling the vacuum cleaner

Charging the battery
T o pr olong the life of the vacuum cleaner battery, f ollow these instructions:
• Do n ot leave th e vacu um cle aner f ull y charg ed o r comp lete ly dis charg ed
for a lo ng ti me.
• Prol ong ed di scha rge d of the b at ter y w ill re sult in l oss of i ts c apa cit y.
• Do n ot let t he vac uum cl eane r to be co mple tel y disch arge d.
• It is id eal to ke ep the c apa cit y o f the b at ter y b et we en 20 % - 80 % .
During charging, thr ee LED lights next to the power button flash one by one .
The charging is complet e when all three LED lights are continuously on.
Operating time at full charge of the ba tter y is approxima tely 20 minutes.
Using the vacuum cleaner
NOTE
Before using the vacuum cleaner , mak e sure that the filters are corr ectly positioned and fixed.

Checking the fullness of the dust container
If the suction power of the vacuum cleaner is reduced or the dust container is full , empty it and clean the vacuum cleaner
filter . F or the VP4353 and VP4354, y ou can use a cleaning brush (K) to clean the filters.

V acuuming water
The vacuum cleaner also allows y ou to vacuum a small amount of water . I t is necessary to attach the head for vacuuming
liquids to the vacuum cleaner . How ever , the amount of water must not e xceed the maximum level of dirt of the dust
container . This may cause clogg ing of filters and serious damage to the appliance. Empty the dust container befor e
vacuuming water . Never leave water in the container .
MAINTENANCE
It is recommended to empty the dust container and clean the vacuum cleaner filters after each use of the vacuum
cleaner .
Emptying the dust container
1. Disconnect the ch arger from the mains.
2. Hold th e vacu um cle aner d own w ith a dus t cont ain er.
3. Press t he latch to re leas e the d ust co ntain er.
4. Remove th e water s epa rator a nd emp t y the v acuu m clean er dus t cont aine r.
5. Rever se t he pr oce dure to at t ach t he wate r sep arato r and th e filte r and pu t the du st con tain er ba ck .
Cleaning and replacing the permanent filter
The vacuum cleaner filter can be cleaned by mechanical tapping and cleaning with a soft brush. Heavily soiled filt er can
be washed after this step and cleaned with a soft brush in lukewarm water without det ergents.
It is important to let the wet parts dr y thoroughly . A wet filter w ould be depleted by vacuuming! Do not use
ahair dryer for drying!
Note: Wet cleaning can cause mor e wear on the filter and thereb y shor tening its life.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Accessories and vacuum cleaner can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Do not immerse the power c ord or the charger in water or an y other liquid.
Do not use aggressive substances such as solv ents or abrasives for cleaning!
