TAKING PICTURES
SLIDE SWITCH
The Slide Switch located in the front of the camera, has 3 scene settings: Macro
( ), Portrait ( ) and Distant ( ). The mode indicator is displayed on the
middle right hand side of the LCD and the flash setting is displayed in the upper left
corner of the LCD.

Using the slide switch:
1. Position the Slide Switch towards the macro ( ), portrait
( ) or distant ( ) icon until the switch clicks into place.

2. To ensure accurate focus, refer to the chart above to make
sure that the subject is within the distance range in the mode
that you selected.
Notes:
• The default flash mode is set by the Slide Switch. To manually override the
slide switch flash mode, the setting must be changed on the Flash menu on
the LCD. Please refer to p. 21 for further information.
• In video clip mode the flash is deactivated.
