INTRODUCTION
Your new Cortina gives you a helping hand while cycling.
Your bicycle provides pedal assist at speeds of up to 25
km/h. You can read all about the SportDrive system in this
manual. Be sure to follow the precautionary measures in
chapter 2 and see chapter 4 for electric cycling tips and
tricks. We'll start with a few important tips:
–
Make sure the battery is fully charged before using it
for the first time.
–
Find a quiet section of road to practice with the ped-
al assist system. The motor is capable of delivering
considerable power.
–
If you haven't used the bike during the past 48
hours, wake the battery by briefly pressing the but-
ton on the battery (1).
–
Check the charge level (1) before setting off.
–
Only turn on the bike once you have mounted. If you
accidentally push the pedals while walking with the
bike, the bicycle may start riding inadvertently.
–
Keep your bike clean and have it serviced regularly
by your dealer.
Respect the law and traffic regulations in the country where
you are cycling. Wearing a cycle helmet is mandatory in
some countries.
