Preparation

1. Place thelog splitter on aﬂat and stable work surface at apractical height.

2. Set thesplitting distance (see below)

3. Connect thepower cable to asocket, preferably via anearth fault breaker. Remember to place thecable

so that it will not damaged when working thelog splitter.

4. Unscrew theair screw (13) 3–4 revolutions, so that anoticeable air current can be felt during use.

How to use

Setting the splitting distance

The log splitter is meant for logs up to alength of 52 cm.

1. Remove thelocking pin on thepiston rod behind thepressure plate.

2. Pull thepressure plate to thesplitter until one of theholes in theinner and outer piston rod align.

3. Replace thelocking pin

4. If thelogs are shorter, use thepiston stroke limiter* (see below) to limit piston rod movement and to increase

theworking operation.

* The piston stroke limiter is adetachable stop which hinders thereturn action of thepiston control.

Only use when logs are short:

1. Press theswitch and operating lever and let thepiston move to its outer position. Release theswitch but

keep ahold of theoperating lever.

2. Place thepin of thepiston stroke limiter in one of theholes in thework bench.

3. Release thepressure lever so that thepiston control (17) is stopped by thepiston stroke limiter (18).

4. Adjust thesplitting distance by changing thelength of thepiston rod using thethree holes.

Note!

• Never use thepiston stroke limiter (19) in front of thepressure plate (2). It must always be behind

thepressure plate (2) or be removed.

• Never use thesplitter without thepressure plate (2) mounted and ﬁxed with supplied locking pin. (20).
