Taking the bow apart
Pull the upper bow arm (3a) out of the lower
bow arm (3b).
Dismantling the target
Proceed in the reverse order to dismantle the
target (Fig. B).
Shooting with bow and
arrows
Caution! When using the bow and
arrow set always wear suitable
protection like arm and finger guards.
Nocking the arrow (Fig. I)
Note: The arrow with suction cap (5) has three
fletches (7) and an arrow nock with notch (6).
1. Put the arrow with the end where the
fletching (7) is through the circular opening
of the bow. The fletching (7) must be directed
towards the bowstring (4).
2. Place the arrow nock with notch (6) onto
the bowstring (4). Make sure that the arrow
nock with notch (6) is completely sitting on
the bowstring (4). The arrow must be at right
angles to the bowstring (4) (Fig. I).
Holding the bow and arrow (Fig. J)
1. Take the bow in your hand.
2. Crook your three middle fingers as far as the
first finger joint around the arrow nock with
notch (6) and the bowstring (4) (Fig. J).
3. Put the tips of your little finger and thumb next
to each other (Fig. J).
Shooting position and aiming
(Figs. K and L)
1. Stand at a right angle, about 5 - 10m away
from the target. If you are right-handed, point
your left shoulder at the target, if you left-
handed, point your right shoulder towards it
(Fig. K).
2. If you are right-handed, hold the bow in your
left hand, extend your left arm towards the
target and look at the target. Hold your head
naturally. Left-handers extend the right arm
with the bow towards the target.
3. Set the arrow (5) on the bowstring (4) as
described above in the section “Nocking the
arrow”.
4. If you are right-handed, lay your right hand
around the bowstring (4) and arrow (5) as
described in the section “Holding the bow
and arrow”. Left-handers use their left hand
(Fig. L).
5. Hold the bow at a slight slant. If you are
right-handed, tilt the upper bow tip slightly to
the right, if left-handed, slightly to the left.
6. Do not hold on to the arrow (5) with your
bow hand. Pull the bowstring (4) close to
your face, by drawing your elbow back to
shoulder height.
7. Point the arrow (5) at the target. Take your
time when aiming.
8. Let the arrow (5) fly, by releasing the
bowstring (4).
Rules of the game
The target has 5 colourful rings. These rings
have numbers (points) which increase towards
the centre. The closer to the centre the ring hit
is, the more points the archer gets. If an arrow
touches a ring with the suction cup, this ring
counts as a hit.
