• Select a suitable location (open space) to
operate the quadcopter . Flying ov er the fol-
lowing ar eas is prohibited, and a distance of
1 00m from these areas must be maintained:
cro wded areas; accident sites, catastrophe
areas and other areas wher e public author-
ities and organisations are engaged in
securit y/safet y activities; over mobile feder al
army installations and troops conducting
announced manoeuvres and military exer-
cises; nature conservation areas; residential
areas; industrial plants; penal institutions;
inv oluntar y treatment facilities; militar y instal-
lations and organisations; pow er generation
and distribution infrastructure; facilities in
which Protection Lev el 4 work requiring prior
authorisation under the Ordinance on Bio-
logical Substances is carried out, unless t he
facilit y operator has giv en express permission;
hospitals; federal highway s; federal water-
ways; r ailway infrastructure; state and federal
constitutional bodies or supreme or higher
state or federal authorities; embassies and
consulates; international organisations that
are located in an area based on international
law; and police propert y and proper ty of t he
securit y agencies.
Flight ov er the following areas is pr ohibited,
and a distance of 1 .5km from these areas
must be maintained: airpor ts, airfield control
zones, state and militar y buildings. Local flight
ex clusion zones must be checked befor e each
flight.
• The quadcopter has been designed for use
by laypeople as w ell as experienced/trained
users. Users with sight or hearing impairments
must only use the quadcopter under the super-
vision of those without impairments.
The user’s reactiv e capacit y must not be
compromised: tir edness, and the influence of
alcohol or medication can lead to incorrect
responses.
Additional skills are not requir ed (e.g. train-
ing). There are no oper ating restrictions based
on gender or lef t/right-handedness.
• Nev er fly the quadcopter directly at other
people, animals or yourself.
• The motor , electronics and rechar geable
batter y can heat up while the quadcopter is
in operation. F or this reason, take a br eak of
5–1 0 minutes before recharging the battery
or installing another previously charged
batter y .
• Improper oper ation can cause ser ious per-
sonal injur y and damage to propert y!
For this reason, mak e sure that you maintain a
safe distance from other people, animals and
objects when flying.
• Alway s leave the remote contr ol switched on
while the quadcopter is in operation.
Switch the quadcopter off af ter landing it. The
remote control can then be switched off.
• In the ev ent of a fault or a malfunction, the
cause of the defect must first be resolved
before y ou restart t he quadcopter .
• Do not expose the quadcopter or the remote
control to dir ect sunlight or high temperatures
for extended time periods.
• In the ev ent of a serious crash (for ex ample,
from a gr eat height), the calibration may be
damaged or detuned. It is therefor e imperativ e
that complete functionalit y is checked before
a new flight!
• In the ev ent of a crash, the throttle must be
brought do wn to zero immediately . Rotating
rotors can be damaged during contact with
obstacles or on impact. Before a new flight,
always check them for possible cracks or
break ages!
• In order to pr ev ent damage to the quadcop-
ter from crashing due to under -voltage, or
to the batter y due to complete discharge,
always k eep a close eye on the under-v oltage
indicator lights (see section on “Under-voltage
warning”).
• In some countries, insurance is mandatory
for model aircr af t and model helicopters
which are flown outdoor s. Please consult your
personal liabilit y insurer and ensur e that your
quadcopter is included in this insurance.
• Alway s make sur e to respect the privacy of
other people and animals around y ou. Do not
film people close up unless they have giv en
you permission to do so. Note also that it is
not always permitted to film where ver and
whenev er you wish. P ay att ention to the appli-
cable legal regulations.
Batter y warning notices!
GENERAL W ARNING NOTICES
• Alway s keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Cleaning and maintenance must not be car-
ried out by children without supervision.
• When necessary, clean the battery and
device contacts with a clean, dr y cloth.
• Do not expose the batteries to e xtreme condi-
tions (e.g. radiators or dir ect sunlight).
• Handle damaged or leaking batteries with
extr eme caution and dispose of them properly
as soon as possible. W ear gloves when doing
so.
• If you come into contact with battery acid,
wash the affected area with soap and water .
If batter y acid gets in your e ye, rinse with
water and seek medical attention immedi-
ately!
• Batteries must not be swallow ed! Howev er ,
if this does happen, you must see a doctor
immediately!
• Nev er throw batteries into fire or put them
on hot surf aces (e.g., a radiator or a sto ve).
Never open the battery casing or the foil or
shor t-circuit the contacts. There is a risk of fire
or explosion!
• Av oid external mechanical influences (e.g.
blows, sharp objects or crushing). There is a
risk of fire or explosion!
• Do not expose the batteries or the recharge-
able batter y to temperatures belo w 1 0°C or
ov er 45°C .
ADDITIONAL BA TTERY W ARNING
NOTICES (REMOTE CONTROL)
• Only use batteries from the same manufac-
turer and of the same t ype.
• Remo ve the batter ies when they ar e flat, or
if the product is not in use for an e xtended
period.
• New and used batteries must not be used
together.
• Replace all batteries at the same time.
• Non-rechargeable batteries must not be
charged.
• W arning: batteries must not be charged
or reactiv ated by other means, taken apart,
thrown into fir e, or shor t-circuited. Ther e is a
risk of fire or explosion!
• P ay attention to the correct polarit y (+/-) when
inser ting the batteries.
• Dispose of used batteries properly at munici-
pal collection points or in shops.
ADDITIONAL W ARNINGS FOR
REC HARGEABLE BA TTERY (QU AD-
COPTER)
• Nev er leave batteries charging unattended.
• Nev er charge the rechargeable battery imme-
diately af ter use. Always allo w t he batter y to
cool down first (min. 5–1 0 minutes).
• Only use the USB cable pro vided to charge
the batter y .
• Only charge intact and undamaged rechar ge-
able batteries. If the outer insulation of t he
rechargeable battery is damaged or if the
batter y is deformed or bloated, it must not be
charged under any circumstances. In this case,
there is an extr eme r isk of fire and explosion!
• Since both the USB cable and the batter y
heat up during the charging process, it is vital
to ensure there is adequate v entilation. Never
cov er the USB cable or the batter y!
• Disconnect the batter y from the USB cable
when it is fully charged.
• Nev er charge or store the rechargeable
batter y near large heat sour ces or open fires,
as this could result in a fire or an e xplosion.
• Do not leave the rechar geable batter y
unattended while charging, and watch out for
possible ov erheating of the batter y.
• Nev er charge a batter y that has expanded as
a result of o verheating, dropping or o ver-
charging.
• Nev er charge a batter y that is punctured or
damaged. Examine the batter y very closely
for such damage if it has been dropped. If the
rechargeable battery is damaged, dispose of
it according to the regulations in y our countr y.
• If the rechargeable battery catches f ire during
the charging process, e xtinguish this t ype of
rechargeable battery with plent y of water .
• The USB cable must only be used in dr y ,
enclosed indoor areas. The USB cable and
rechargeable battery must not get damp or
wet .
• Nev er shor t-circuit the battery. Ther e is a risk
of fire or explosion.
• Nev er carr y rechargeable batteries in trouser
pockets or carry bags. Watch out for sharp
or angular objects which could damage your
rechargeable battery .
• If the rechargeable battery has been sub-
jected to a strong impact, store it in a v er y
secure place (e.g. in a metal box) for the
next 30 minutes. P ay attention to whe ther
the rechargeable battery expands and/or
ov erheats.
• Nev er tr y to manipulate, modify or repair the
rechargeable battery .
