Using your Croozer Dog

Helping your pet acclimate to the Croozer

Dog

Initially, your dog may be a little nervous about riding in a

bicycle trailer. However, there are many ways to help him

gradually get used to the Croozer Dog.

We recommend that you place the trailer in an area of your

home where your dog feels safe and comfortable (e.g. in

the living room). Open all zippers. Remove the side wheels

(see page 13) and place the support block (1) (see below)

under the Stroller-wheel socket to prevent the Croozer

from tipping or wobbling.

Assembling the support block

1. Cut or tear along the perforations to separate the form

from the cardboard ap of the Croozer Dog’s original

box (see diagram).

2. Then fold it into a block, inserting the tab through the

slot as shown.

3. Place the support block (1) under the Stroller-wheel

socket. Make sure the Croozer is stable.

Place your dog’s favourite toys and/or blanket inside, pos-

sibly along with some treats.

Lead your dog playfully through the Croozer as you would

through a tunnel. In order to make the opening larger, it

may be necessary to remove the crossbar (2) for the time

being.

Be sure to mount the crossbar before using the Croozer

as a Bicycle Trailer. Riding without the crossbar mounted

can compromise the stability of the frame and cause

damage to the Croozer.

If your dog is apprehensive, you can place his food bowl

in the tunnel until he starts to feel more comfortable. Place

the Croozer in his favourite sleeping spot, and close the

front window. Then he can use it as a cosy den.

Give your dog plenty of time to acclimate to the Croozer

Dog. Once your dog seems to feel comfortable in the

Croozer, you can start taking short trips with him, for

example by either pushing the bike or riding at a walking

pace. On these rst few outings, be sure to check on your

dog frequently and observe his reactions to the movement

of the Bicycle Trailer.
