6.5 Fitting and use of the safety wrist strap
To prevent the Carrier accidentally rolling away on inclines, all
Carriers are tted with a safety wrist strap.
On delivery, this is located in the small internal pocket at the
rear end of the frame (see Section 4.9).
Place the safety wrist strap with the shorter loop around the
handlebar and t the handlebar as described in Section 4.4.
During travel, place the free loop around your wrist.
If the safety wrist strap is not needed, e.g., when the Carrier
is used as a Bicycle Trailer, stow it away under the storage
space cover in the inside to stop it apping around.
WARNING
Please ensure that your child does not stand on the wheel
arms when entering or leaving the Carrier. If at any time
you stop, do not allow anyone to sit on the wheel arms, as
they may get damaged.
WARNING
Always insert the security pin for the stroller wheel in the
hole provided on the stroller wheel bearing bushing and se-
cure it with the safety clip. If this is not done, a security pin
that is hanging loose might damage the oor of the Carrier.
DANGER
When used as a Jogger, the stroller wheel (see Section 7)
must not be attached to the bumper.
DANGER
When using the Carrier as a Jogger, always put the safety
wrist strap that is attached to the handlebar around your
wrist. This prevents the Carrier from accidentally running
away.
DANGER
To prevent the carrier from tipping backwards, the sto-
rage bags at the rear should not be loaded with excessive
weight. Carry out the following check: Depress the hand-
lebar by about 150 mm. The Carrier should return to its
original standing position and should not tip backwards.
6.6 Points to note during use
You should follow all the safety instructions at the beginning
of this section, as well as the general safety instructions at the
beginning of the Owner’s Manual.
