Croozer Kid Plus Inspections and

Maintenance

To ensure that your Croozer Kid Plus will have a safe, long

and problem-free service life, inspections and maintenance

must be performed at regular intervals. The Croozer Kid

Plus’s wheels, hitch arm, frame, fabric body, security pins,

quick-release mechanisms and safety harnesses must be

checked periodically for damage. If any of these parts are

found to be damaged, the Croozer Kid Plus may not be

used until the damage has been properly repaired.

Never use the Croozer Kid Plus if it is not in perfect work-

ing order. Damaged parts could cause accidents with se-

rious injury or death. Therefore, it is vitally important that

you have your Croozer Kid Plus serviced regularly – at

least once a year – by a professional bicycle mechanic.

It is vitally important that the maintenance work described

in this section be performed to professional standards

and at the specified intervals.

Inspection intervals

Check the overall condition of the Croozer Kid Plus period-

ically to identify any parts in need of repair or replacement.

Some parts should be checked before each use, and

others only monthly. Generally, a visual inspection is suf-

cient: is everything where it belongs, are there any tears in

the fabric of the body, are any of the metal parts cracked or

bent, are the safety harnesses intact, are the tyres in good

condition and properly inated, and, if applicable, are the

accessories in perfect working order? A complete checklist

for inspection is provided in the table on the right.

Service intervals

Have the Croozer Kid Plus serviced by a professional

bicycle mechanic at least once a year. The actual neces-

sary service intervals will depend on various factors, such

as weather conditions, road conditions, loading etc. If the

Croozer Kid Plus is not being used very often, then an an-

nual service by a professional bicycle mechanic is suf-

cient. If the Croozer Kid Plus is used on a daily basis, even

in the winter, then we recommend having it professionally

serviced more often, as the parts can wear signicantly

faster. Pulling the trailer with an e-bike (with electric as-

sist) will also subject the Croozer Kid Plus’s parts to much

greater wear, meaning that shorter service intervals will be

necessary.
