1 Remove the turntable from the box and remove the packaging.
2 Put the 45-rpm adaptor into its holder.
3 Set the turntable platter onto the center spindle.
4 Put the slip mat over the platter.
5 Insert the headshell into the front end of the tonearm, and then turn the locknut clockwise with the headshell
firmly held horizontally.
6 Slide counterweight onto tonearm and twist it lightly onto the rear shaft of the tonearm.
7 Adjustment of horizontal “zero” balance and stylus pressure:
a. Remove the stylus protector from the headshell and avoid touching the stylus tip during the adjustment.
b. Lower the tonearm using the cue lever.
c. Using the cue level, lower the tonearm to its lowest position.
d. Rotate the counterweight towards the front of the turntable until the tonearm is balanced (floats freely).
e. Return the tonearm back to the tonearm rest.
f. Hold the counterweight stationary with one hand and rotate only the downforce scale until the “0” on
the scale lines up with the centerline marked along the top of the tone arm.
g. Rotate the counterweight including the downforce scale counter-clockwise (as seen from the front of
the turntable) until the scale shows the value corresponding to the pressure required for stylus.
NOTE: The recommended downforce for the factory fitted cartridge is 3.5g
8 Set the anti-skating control knob to the same value as the stylus pressure.
9 Install the turntable lid to the hinges.
10 Place the turntable on a flat, level surface. To help ensure the turntable is level, the height of the legs can be
adjusted by rotating them.
