Preparing the water tank (for Humidifying operation)
1. Take out the water tank and remove the cap.

2. Fill the water tank with tap water and close
the cap.
Attention
Do not pour any of the following into the water tank.
• Warm water (40ºC or above), aroma oil, chemical agents,
unclean water, aromatic substances, detergent, etc. These
may cause deformation of the unit or malfunction.
• Water from a water purier, ionised alkaline water, mineral
water, well-water etc.
These may lead to the propagation of mould or bacteria.
• Perform in a place where spilling water will not cause
a problem.

Clean the water tank by shaking a small amount of
water inside before lling up the water tank with water.

Securely tighten the
cap on the water tank.
If not done, water
leakage could result.
Water can be lled
right up to the neck
• The water tank will be heavy when lled with water.
Hold the water tank rmly with both hands when
carrying.
• Avoid touching the valve in the centre of the cap.
Water in the water tank will leak.
• After tightening the cap, turn the water tank
upside down (so that the cap faces downward)
and check for any leaks.

3. Put the water tank in the unit.
• Hold the grip and t the water tank into the
humidifying tray.

Attention
As leaving any residual water in the humidifying tray will
lead to bad odours and dirt build-up, be sure to discard
any residual water in the humidifying tray each time the
water tank is refilled.

Pointers for good positioning
• Choose a position from where airow can reach all areas of
the room.
• Place on a stable surface. If the unit is placed on an unstable
surface, vibrations from the unit may be amplied.
• If interference from the power circuit inside the unit or cables
causes disturbance of TV screen images or the emission of
static noise from nearby radios or stereos, move the unit to
at least 2m away from the device.
Keep cordless phones and radio-controlled clocks away from
the unit also.
Attention
• To avoid staining of walls, position the unit in accordance with the positioning measurements in the illustration. However, note
that since this unit draws in dirty air, certain types of wall may become stained even if the measurements are adhered to.
In such cases, be sure to maintain sufcient distance between the unit and the wall.
• When used for a prolonged period in the same location, the oor and surrounding walls may become stained as air is drawn
into air inlets near the base of the unit. Periodic cleaning is recommended.
