SWITCHING ON AND OFF
At rst, rmly place the tacker head against the workpiece
until it is pushed in a few millimeters. Afterwards, brie y
press the trigger and then release again.
The trigger lock, which is connected with the movable
tacker head, prevents unintentional shot actuation when
the trigger is inadvertently pressed.
For rapid working, keep the trigger pressed. Position the
machine and press the tacker head rmly against the work-
piece until the shot is actuated. After the shot, move the
tacker to the next location and press the tacker head rmly
onto the workpiece again.
HAMMER-FORCE PRESELECTION
With the thumbwheel for hammer-force preselection, it is
possible to preselect the required hammer force in steps.
The required hammer force depends on the length of the
staples or nails, and on the strength of the material. The
optimal hammerforce setting is best determined through
practical testing.
WORKING ADVICE
This machine is not suitable for working with 19 mm sta-
ples. Therefore, do not use the machine to fasten ceiling
panelling with pro led wood or grooves.
Avoid blank shots in order to reduce the wear of the impact
striker.
The machine is designed only for intermittent operation
and will warm up with continuous use. The tacking force
is reduced as a result of heating up. Therefore, allow the
machine to cool off after 15 minutes (maximum) of continu-
ous operation.
MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains
plug.
For safe and proper working, always keep the machine
and ventilation slots clean. If the machine should fail
despite the care taken in manufacturing and testing pro-
cedures, repair should be carried out by an after-sales
service centre for SBM Group.
SAFETY WARNINGS FOR TACKERS
Always assume that the tool contains fasteners. Care-
less handling of the tacker can result in unexpected
ring of fasteners and personal injury.
Do not point the tool towards yourself or anyone nearby.
Unexpected triggering will discharge the fastener caus-
ing an injury.
Do not actuate the tool unless the tool is placed rmly
against the workpiece. If the tool is not in contact with
the workpiece, the fastener may be de ected away from
your target.
Disconnect the tool from the power source when the
fastener jams in the tool. While removing a jammed
fastener, the tacker may be accidentally activated if it is
plugged in.
Use caution while removing a jammed fastener. The
mechanism may be under compression and the fastener
may be forcefully discharged while attempting to free a
jammed condition.
Do not use this tacker for fastening electrical cables. It
is not designed for electric cable installation and may
damage the insulation of electric cables thereby causing
electric shock or re hazards.
Use suitable detectors to determine if utility lines are hid-
den in the work area or call the local utility company for
assistance. Contact with electric lines can lead to re
and electric shock. Damaging a gas line can lead to ex-
plosion. Penetrating a water line causes property dam-
age or may cause an electric shock.
Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped with clamp-
ing devices or in a vice is held more secure than by
hand.
Products sold in GB only: Your product is tted with an BS
1363/A approved electric plug with internal fuse (ASTA ap-
proved to BS 1362).
If the plug is not suitable for your socket outlets, it should
be cut off and an appropriate plug tted in its place by an
authorised customer service agent. The replacement plug
should have the same fuse rating as the original plug.
The severed plug must be disposed of to avoid a possible
shock hazard and should never be inserted into a mains
socket elsewhere.
Products sold in AUS and NZ only: Use a residual cur-
rent device (RCD) with a rated residual current of 30 mA
or less.
ASSEMBLY
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains
plug.
Press on both sides of the magazine slider and pull out
the magazine.
Insert the staple strip or the nail strip. Hold the tacker at
a slight angle when inserting the nail strip, so that the
nails face against the sidewall.
Slide in the magazine until the closure on the magazine
slider engages.
OPERATION
STARTING OPERATION
Observe correct mains voltage! The voltage of the
power source must agree with the voltage speci ed on
the nameplate of the machine. Power tools marked with
230 V can also be operated with 220 V.
