BEFORE USE
Before use, make sure the appliance is not da-
maged, dented etc. and that water does not leak
from the casing.
In the event of doubt, do not use. Have the ap-
pliance checked by an authorised technical servi-
ce centre. Make sure the power cable does not
come into contact with hot parts of the appliance
while in use.
The heater must always be used on a horizontal
surface. Do not rest on furniture, plate glass, car-
pet or parquet.
IMPORTANT: do not turn the appliance upside
down or move while in operation.
When the appliance contains water, move by holding
it at the bottom only. Always unplug from the mains
socket first.
Before putting the appliance away, make sure it is
cold.
Do not pour alcoholic products or perfumes into the
tank. Use normal tap water only.
Do not aim the mist at people, objects or walls.
Before filling the tank, empty any mineral residues or
sludge present.
Unplug from the socket before filling or emptying the

in other models (fig. 4).
Do not add any mineral salts in the water.
During the filling phase, take care not to
pour water on the heating unit cover.
(IMPORTANT: NEVER FILL THE TANK OVER
THE MAXIMUM LEVEL)
THE MAXIMUM LEVEL IS MEASURED WITH
THE HEATING UNIT IN PLACE
- If the cover of the heating unit (D) is damp, it
is vital to dry it before plugging the appliance
into the mains.
- Turn the heating unit anticlockwise as far as
it will go. (The arrow on the heating unit
should line up with the

- After a few minutes, mist is given off.
The mist production time may vary accor-

- To adjust mist emission, turn the mist knob

IMPORTANT: WHEN THE APPLIANCE IS OPE-

- When the water reaches the minimum level,
mist production stops and the appliance
shuts down automatically.
A certain amount of water is always left on the
bottom. This contains residues which must
always be removed by completely emptying the
tank before topping up again with water.
USING PERFUMED ESSENCES
To use perfumed essences, pour a few drops into
the essence holder (fig. 6) (A).
Essences should never under any circumstan-
ces be added to the water tank.
CLEANING
• Depending on the frequency the appliance is
used and the quality of the water, mineral re-
sidues form on the heating unit electrodes
and boiler compartment.
• You are recommended to regenerate the
heating unit whenever mist emission dimi-
nishes.
• To proceed with regeneration, unplug the ap-
pliance from the socket and remove the hea-
ting unit (D). Immerse the END ONLY for
about 8 cm (fig. 7) in a solution of water and
vinegar or a commercially available desca-
ling solution and leave to work for about 10
hours. After this period, rinse the end sec-
tion of the heating unit with water, taking ca-
re not to wet the top part.
• Replace the heating unit as shown in figure
8.
• Before cleaning the appliance, always unplug
from the socket.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Clean the tank with a cloth or brush.
• To clean the heating unit, use a damp cloth
only and leave to dry thoroughly.
