Setting the Distance
This parameter is for optimizing the timing with which the audio
signals are produced from the speakers and subwoofer according to
the listening position.
Preparations:
Measure the distances between the listening position and the
speakers (L1 to L8 on the diagram at the below).
1
• The distance changes in units of 1 foot (0.1 meters) each time the
button is pressed. Select the value closest to the measured
distance.
• Please note that the difference of distance for every speaker
should be 20 ft (6.0 m) or less.
Setting the Crossover Frequency
Set the frequency (Hz) below which the bass sound of the various
speakers is to be output from the subwoofer.
For speakers that are set to “Small”, frequencies under the crossover
frequency are cut before the signal is output, and the low frequency
component that was cut is output from the subwoofer or the
speakers that are set to “Large”.
40, 60, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 150, 200, 250 Hz:
Set as desired according to your speakers’ bass playback ability.

•The crossover frequency mode is valid only when subwoofer is set
to “ON”, and when one or more speakers are set to “Small”, as
described in section “Setting the Speaker Configuration” ( page
19).
• Set to “80 Hz” when using regular speakers. When using small
speakers, we recommend setting to a higher frequency.
