Basic Operation
wWhen you would like to play back with the “Dolby Digital
EX” mode, set AFDM to “OFF” and select “MTRX ON”
with “SB CH OUT”.
Example: When playing software that has a Dolby Digital EX

qWhen AFDM is set to “ON”, the surround mode is
automatically set to the “DOLBY DIGITAL + PLIIx
CINEMA” mode. The surround parameter screen shown
at the below is displayed.

1Press the STANDARD button to select the
“STANDARD (Dolby/DTS Surround)” mode.
2Play a program source with the ,

3Press the SURROUND PARAMETER button.
•Display the “Surround Parameter” menu.
5Press the CURSOR FFor GGbutton to select the
setting.
6Press the ENTER or SURROUND PARAMETER
button to complete the setting.
4Press the CURSOR DDor HHbutton to select the
parameter.
•When “Default” is selected and the CURSOR FFbutton is
pressed, “CINEMA EQ.” and “D.COMP.” are automatically
turned off, “LFE” is reset, and “TONE” is set to the default
value.
