n About the internet radio function

•Internet radio refers to radio broadcasts distributed over the

Internet.

Internet radio stations from around the world can be received.

•This unit is equipped with the following Internet radio functions:

•Stations can be selected by genre and region.

•Internet radio stations can be preset (vpage12).

•Internet radio stations in MP3 and WMA (Windows Media

Audio) format can be listened to.

•Your favorite radio stations can be registered by accessing an

exclusive DENON Internet radio URL from a Web browser on

a computer.

•The function is managed for individual users, so you must provide

your MAC or e-mail address.

•The radio station database service may be suspended without

notice.

•This unit’s Internet radio station list is created using a radio

station database service (vTuner). This database service provides

a list edited and created for this unit.

n About the Music server

This function lets you play music ﬁles and playlists (m3u, wpl)

stored on a computer (music server) connected to this unit via a

network.

With this unit’s network audio playback function, connection to the

server is possible using one of the technologies below.

A server or server software compatible with distribution in the

corresponding formats is required to play music ﬁles via a network.

z1 Music server

•ThisunitiscompatiblewithMP3ID3-Tag(Ver.2)standard.

•This unit is compatible with WMA META tags.

•WAVformatQuantizationbitrate:16bits.

•Iftheimagesize(pixels)ofanalbumartworkexceeds500×500

(WMA/MP3/WAV/FLAC) or 349×349 (MPEG-4 AAC), then

music may not be played back properly.

z2 Only ﬁles that are not protected by copyright can be played on

this unit.

Content downloaded from pay sites on the Internet are copyright

protected. Also, ﬁles encoded in WMA format when ripped from

a CD, etc. on a computer may be copyright protected, depending

on the computer’s settings.

z3 Depending on the DLNA server speciﬁcations, formats that can

be distributed may differ. Check the manual of your DLNA server.

This table assumes the use of Twonky Media ver.4.4 (http://

www.twonkyvison.de/).DLNAserversoftwaresuchasTwonky

Media must be purchased separately.

z4 DLNA servers do not support the distribution of DRM contents.

z5 DN-700H supports the playback of MP3 and WMA (no copyright

protection) format Internet Radio Stations.

z6 Windows Media Player 11 does not support m4a format

distribution.

z7 Windows Media Player 11 and Windows Media Player 12 do not

support FLAC format distribution.

z8 ForFLACformatles,32/44.1/48/88.2/96kHz16/24bit2channel

attribute ﬁles can be played. For other ﬁle formats (MP3, WMA,

m4A,WAV),32/44.1/48kHz16bit2channelattributelescanbe

played.

z9 Internet radio and DLNA Server do not support WMA Lossless

format distribution.

•Depending on the Music server used, the pause operation may be

unavailable.
