PRECA UTIONS
Follow the advice below for safe and appropriate operations.
ON PLA CEMENT
· Do not use the unit in places which are extremely hot ,clod ,dusty , or humid.
· Place the unit on a flat and even surface.
· Do not restrict the air flow of the unit by placing it in a place with poor air flo w ,
by covering it with a cloth, or by placing it on a carpet.
ON SAFETY
· When connecting and disconnecting the AC cord, grip the plug and not the
cord itself. Pulling the cord may damage it and create a hazard.
· When you are not going to use the unit f or a long per iod of time, disconnect
the AC power cord.
ON CONDENSA TION
· When left in a heated room where it is war m and damp , water droplets or
condensation ma y form inside the CD play er .
· When there is condensation inside the unit, the unit may not function normally .
· Let it stand for 1 to 2 hours before turning the power on , or gradually heat the
room up and dry the unit before use.

SYSTEM CONNECTIONS

. SPEAKERS CONNECTING
Connect the wires to the speaker terminals in correct position.
Note: Connecting speakers other than the speakers supplied with the
unit, may damage the unit.

. A C PO WER CONNECTING
Before use, check that the rated voltage of your unit matches your local
voltage. Make sure both speakers are connected correctly before plugging
the AC power cord into an AC outlet.

RADIO OPERA TION
1. Slide the FUNCTION selector to
TUNER.
2. Slide the BAND selector to desired
band.
3. T une into a station. 4 . Adjust the volume level.
FOR BETTER RECEPTION
NO TE: DO NO T CONNECT TO AN OUTSIDE ANTENNA.
Fully unwind the wire antenna. Then
extend the wire antenna and place
it in the position that sounds best.
Rotate the unit to get the best
receiving position.
T O RECEIVE THE FM BR O ADCAST IN STEREO
Slide the FM MODE selector to FM STEREO .
When the FM stereo broadcast is received. FM STEREO indicator lights up.
IF THE FM BR O ADCAST SIGNAL IS WEAK
Slide the FM MODE selector to MONO position to turn off the FM STEREO
indicator and background noises become monaural.
AFTER LISTENING
Slide the FUNCTION selector to ST ANDBY .

1. Slide the FUNCTION selector to
CD .
2. Open the disc compar tment.
3. Place a disc onto the disc(s) holder ,
with the label side up.
Caution: The unit can pla y 5 inch
(12cm) only .
Press the DISC SKIP button to
revolve the tray clockwise.
Place other disc(s) on the disc
holder(s).

5. Close the CD door b y holding down on its center until secure. The total
number of tracks will show in the CD display for a few seconds.
T o stop playing:
( a ) For a moment only , press PLA Y/P A USE button and the tr ack no . will
flash. Press this button again to resume playing.
( b ) Press the STOP b utton.
Note:
The SKIP/SEARCH buttons can only be used to choose a track
of the current disc.
T o choose a track of another disc, DISC SKIP button should be pressed
to get to the desired disc first.
LOCA TING A P A RTICULAR POINT IN A TRA CK
T o locate a track in sequence
· T o locate the beginning of the current or the preceding tr ack, press
reverse skip button.
· T o locate the beginning of the succeeding trac k, press forward skip
button.
· A shor t period of time will be needed f or the disc to read the information of
the desired track before playback can be done.
6. Press the DISC SKIP button to select the desired disc. Press either one of
the
SKIP/SEARCH
buttons to select the desired track.
7. Press the PLA Y/P A USE button to start playbac k . The CD PLA Y indicator
lights up.
