Explanation of the Symbols and Signal Words

Danger symbols: This symbol indicates dangers of

injury. Read through the associated safety instructions

carefully and follow them.

Circuit symbol for direct current

WARNING warns of poss ible serious injuries and danger to

life

CAUTION warns of slight to moderate injuries

Intended Use

• The product is suitable for exploring inaccessible places such

as drain pipes and for searching for and retrieving small parts.

• This product is not a toy!

• The product is for personal domestic use only and is not in-

tended for commercial applications. The product should only

be used as described in these instructions. Any other use is

deemed to be improper.

Safety Instructions

■ WARNING – Danger of Suffocation! Keep the packaging

material away from children and animals.

■ WARNING – Danger of Strangling! Keep the cable away

from children.

■ WARNING – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! Batteries

can be deadly if swallowed. Keep batteries and the product out

of the reach of children and animals. If a battery is swallowed,

seek medical assistance immediately.

■ CAUTION – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! If a battery

has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous mem-

branes to come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch

battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant fresh water

and seek medical assistance immediately.

■ CAUTION – Danger of Dazzling! Never look directly into the

light beam! There is a risk of damage to the eyes.

■ Use only the battery type speciﬁ ed in the “Technical Data”.

■ Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of

different types or brands, or batteries with different capacities.

When replacing batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).

■ Take the batteries out of the product when they are dead or if

you will not be using the product for a prolonged period. This

will prevent any damage if a battery leaks.

■ Protect the product from: impacts, heat, direct sunlight, sub-

zero temperatures, and persistent moisture. You should also

protect the battery compartment and the LCD screen from wet

conditions.

■ The individual LEDs cannot be replaced.

■ Store the product in a dry place and at room temperatures.

■ Do not take the product apart and do not attempt to repair it. In

the event of any damage, please contact our customer service

department.

■ Dust off the product with a soft, dry cloth to clean it. More in-

tense soiling can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

Items Supplied

Check the items supplied for completeness and possible transport

damage. If you should ﬁ nd any transport damage, do not use the

product (!), but contact the customer service department.

PLEASE NOTE: Four 1.5 V batteries of the AA type are required

for operation. These are not supplied with the product.

Remove any protective ﬁ lm (e.g., from LCD screen) and labels.

Never remove the rating plate!

Inserting / Changing Batteries

1. Open the battery compartment: Press the locking catch on the

battery compartment cover and remove it.

2. Take used batteries out if necessary and insert 4 new 1.5 V

batteries of the AA type. Pay attention to the correct polarity

(+ / –).

PLEASE NOTE: Before inserting the batteries, check whether

the contacts in the battery compartment and on the batteries

are clean, and clean them if necessary.

3. Insert the battery compartment cover and ﬂ ip it shut. It must

click audibly into place.

If the performance of the LEDs and the camera diminishes, the

batteries should be replaced.

Use

1. Switching On – Press the On / Off switch. The camera, the

LCD screen and the LEDs on the camera head will switch on.

2. Attaching Accessories – If necessary, screw one of the three

attachments onto the camera head at the end of the camera

cable.

3. Switching Off – Press the On / Off switch again. The camera,

LCD screen and LEDs will switch off.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally

friendly manner so that it can be recycled.

This product is governed by the European Directive

2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment

(WEEE). Do not dispose of this product as normal domestic

waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via

an ofﬁ cially approved waste disposal company.

Batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the product

and disposed of separately from the product at suitable col-

lection points.
