Ensure that these instructions are always kept
together with the tool.

4. Proper use
The hammer screwdriver is primarily used for the
purposes of loosening and tightening screws and
nuts, especially on motor vehicles (mainly for fitting
tires). However, screwdriving work can also be
carried out with the tool in the home.
This tool is not intended for commercial use.
5. Safety information
Please refer to the booklet included in delivery for
the relevant safety instructions.
5.1 Additional safety instructions
Ȝ Never allow the tool to run unloaded at full idle
speed for an extended period of time.
Ȝ Wear the necessary protective clothing when
working with the screwdriver.
Ȝ Wear hearing protection and protective gloves
Ȝ When changing a tire on a vehicle, ensure that
you refer to the vehicle manufacturer’s directions
for use.
Ȝ After using the hammer screwdriver to tighten
screws / nuts on motor vehicles, the torque
specified by the vehicle manufacturer must be
checked with an appropriate measuring device
(torque wrench).
Ȝ If a certain torque is specified for other
screwdriving work, it is imperative that this is
checked with an appropriate measuring device
(torque wrench).
Ȝ Only allow repairs and services to be carried out
by authorized professional repair shops.
6. Starting up
6.1 Recharging the rechargeable battery
1. Switch the changeover switch to the middle
setting, the ON/OFF switch can no longer be
pressed. Pull the battery pack out of the handle
(Figure 1). Press the pushlock switch at the same
time.
2. Check that your mains voltage is the same as that
marked on the data plate of the battery charger.
Plug the battery charger in the plug socket and
connect the charging cable to the charging
adapter.
3. Plug the battery pack into the charging adapter.
The red LED will come on to indicate that the
battery pack is being charged. An empty battery
pack requires a maximum charging period of 5
hours. The charging time for a partially charged
battery is comparatively less. The temperature of
the battery pack may rise slightly during the
charging operation. This is normal. Important!
