formation caused by electrostatic discharge
when charging the battery.
n CAUTION! Explosive gases – avoid flames and
sparks
n Disconnect the equipment from the mains supply
before you connect or disconnect the battery.
n The charger contains components such as the
switch and fuse which may generate arcs and
sparks. It is essential to ensure that there is good
ventilation in the garage or room.
n The charger is only suitable for 6 V, 12 V and
24 V lead batteries.
n Do not charge any “non-rechargeable batteries”
or defective batteries.
n Refer to the instructions supplied by the battery
manufacturer.
n Disconnect the equipment from the mains supply
before you connect or disconnect the battery.
n Important. Avoid flames and sparks. Explosive
gas is released during the charging process.

defect, it must be replaced by a fuse with the
same ampere value.
n Only ever use the supply voltage specified
(230V ~50Hz).
n Keep the connectors clean and protect them
from corrosion.
n This charger is not suitable for maintenance-
free batteries.
n Disconnect the equipment from the mains supply
before starting any cleaning or maintenance
work.
n Wear acid-resistant gloves and safety
goggles when connecting and charging the
battery and when topping up the battery with
acid or distilled water.
n Check the mains cable for signs of damage or
