Replacing the electrodes

Maintenance of the boiler should be
carried out by authorized personnel
only.
In order to ensure continued good and
safe operation of the boiler, it should be
inspected at least once per year. A
maintenance protocol should be filled
out (see end of this chapter for example
of maintenance protocol).
Checklist
The following activities must be carried
out, see following paragraphs for an
extensive description of the main activi-
ties:
Replace the ignition and ionisation
electrodes;
Clean the condensate receptacle;
Clean and refill the syphon;
Check the water pressure of the sys-
tem;
Check the water quality of the system
water as well as supply water;
Check the water flow rate through the
boiler;
Check/correct the combustion values
at full and mimimum load with a com-
bustion analyzer;
Check the gas pressure to the boiler;
Check the tightness of all sealed con-
nections and test points;
Check the functionality of all safety
devices;
Fill out a maintenance protocol.
Replacing the electrodes
The electrodes are positioned on the
right hand side of the boiler. Replace
the ignition elektrode (1) and ionisation
electrodes (2) as shown on the picture.
