Installation steps (See page 3)
1. Remove the mounting plate and then the mounting plug, using a screwdriver if
necessary.
2. Place the mounting plate in the desired location and mark the installation holes on
the wall with a pencil.
3. Drill two holes with a diameter of 5mm.
4. Insert the two plastic plugs into the holes.
5. Insert the screws via mounting plate into the dowels and tighten firmly.
6. Place the alarm on the mounting plate and turn the alarm clockwise.
7. Insert the mounting plug into the hole between the mounting plate and the smoke
alarm to secure your alarm.
8. Test the smoke alarm.
Maintenance and cleaning
In addition to weekly testing, the alarm should be cleaned periodically to remove dust,
dirt and debris. Clean the smoke alarm at least once a month. Vacuum all sides of the
smoke alarm using a vacuum cleaner with the soft brush. Make sure all vents are free
of dirt. Use a damp cloth to clean the alarm's case.
IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to remove the cover to clean the inside. This will affect
the warranty.
