6.3 Mounting the smoke detector
Once you have decided a proper mounting location, according to the information the
previous chapter, you can now start to mount the smoke detector.
1. Remove the mounting bracket from the housing:

2. Use the mounting bracket to mark drilling and screw holes. Use a marker to mark
the desired drilling location.
3. Use a 5mm drill to drill the holes. Insert the provided plugs/dowels into the holes.
4. Screw the mounting bracket to the wall with the provided screws.
5. Mount the smoke sensor on the mounting bracket by turning it counter-clockwise
on the bracket. Make sure that the smoke detector is screwed tightly.

7.0 Testing the smoke sensor
Now that the smoke detector is mounted properly you can test it. Take notice of the
following remarks.
