3. Subsequently, the wireless transmitter will attempt to obtain contact with the Z-

Wave Master device in order to be excluded from the network.

Note: It is important to consult with the user guide for the Z-Wave Master device, on

the desired Z-Wave network, in order to determine how to include and exclude other

Z-Wave products to the Z-Wave network.

6.2.4 Press button 5 times – Calibration function

When mounting Energy Reader on a mechanical meter it is necessary to calibrate the

sensor head to ensure a correct reading of consumption from the meter. Press 5 times

on the sensor button once the sensor head has been mounted to start the calibration.

The LED will start flashing to indicate that calibration has begun.

The calibration takes approx. 5-10 minutes, and the LED will start to flash in a slower

rate as the calibration is nearing completion.

When the calibration is completed the LED will turn off. Hereafter the LED will flash

once each time a rotation have been registered from the power meter.

Note! If the LED does not turn off and begins flashing rapidly instead after calibration

is completed, this means that the Energy Reader could not make a proper reading of

the rotational dial on the power meter and alternative mounting of the sensor head

should be attempted.

6.2.5 Press and hold button for 5 seconds – Fine tuning mode

In order to ensure a correct reading of consumption data from mechanical meters it

may be necessary to make fine tuning adjustments to the placement of the sensor

head. Press and hold the button for 5 seconds to begin the fine tuning function.

• The LED will begin to flash rapidly. The brightness of the LED will vary depending

on how optimal reading conditions are registered by the sensor head.

• Place the sensor head where the LED will glow with the brightest light. Then

press the sensor button 5 times to start the calibration function again.

6.2.6 Press button 7 times – Reset to factory default

Press seven times on the sensor button to reset the wireless transmitter. - The LED

will respond with:

3 short flashes – 2 seconds being lit, or longer if a longer period of data is stored –

and again 3 short flashes to indicate that the resetting has been completed correctly.

Note! All data stored in the Energy Reader will be deleted permanently. Only reset the

wireless transmitter if experiencing problems while setting up the wireless connection

between the transmitter and USB receiver, or after consulting the hotline support.
