3. If the media player will be used mainly during night-time, the ‘Night Mode’ can be
set to ‘ON’ or ‘Comfort’. When set to ‘On’, low-level audio content such as dialog
will be increased making it easier to hear at low volume levels. When set to
‘Comfort’, the intensity of higher-level audio content will also be reduced.
4. Select ‘SPDIF Output’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Set ‘SPDIF Output’ to ‘RAW’.
5. Select ‘Surround Sound’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Select ‘5.1 CH’ or ‘Don’t
Care’ and press the ‘OK’ button.
6. The last item is ‘Lip Sync’. Usually, ‘AUTO’ is the default setting and is the
recommended setting. Only set the ‘Lip Sync’ option if you experience delay in
audio playback. The maximum setting for lip sync is 500. However, some SPDIF
receivers also have a ‘Lip Sync’ option. It is advisable to use the lip sync option
on the receiver, since most receivers are able to delay and speed up the sound.
