q How long can you use it before having to recharge again?
The operating time depends, amongst other things, on the distance to the
t
ransmitter (are you far away from the transmitter, does the mobile phone
need substantially more energy to maintain contact), on the number of calls
made and set volume. Charging batteries to a fully loaded state is sufficient
enough under optimal conditions to enable a conversation length of up to
3 hours. On stand-by mode, a maximum 250 hours operating time can be
achieved. If you are phoning for 2 hours, the stand-by time reduces to 80
hours.
q What is stand-by mode?
The mobile phone cover is closed. You can receive calls and look at the
p
hone book in the display. With the key lock switched on, a large key symbol
will be indicated instead. The telephone is in economy mode and the display
is switched off.
q Can the emergency call be dialled without reception or credits?
1) You cannot make a call without a signal.
2) Limited Service appears so you have either no radio contact or no cre-
dits from your network operator. With Limitied Service you can only call
Emergency 112 but no other number.
3) 112 can also be called without credits.
q How can reception be improved?
Look for another place to stand: inside houses, go towards the window for
e
xample or continue the phone call after you have got out of a lift, under-
ground car park or tunnel.
Reception with an open lid instead is better than a closed one.
q How do I clean the mobile phone?
The device is best cleaned by using a damp cloth. Avoid sprays and too
m
uch liquid because they may get through the openings on the inside
of the device and cause damage. Under no circumstances use cleaners
which contain scouring agents, alcohol, spirits or solvents (turpentine). These
resources can attack and/or damage the plastic casing or their overprint.
