Menu Options for Scanning to an Email
Contacts
Select email addresses to send the scanned image from the contacts list.
Format
Select the format in which to save the scanned image. When you select TIFF (Single Page) or TIFF
(Multi Page), only monochrome scanning is available.
Menu
❏ Email Settings
Subject:
Enter a subject for the email in alphanumeric characters and symbols.
Filename Prex:
Enter a prex for the name of the images in alphanumeric characters and symbols.
❏ Basic Settings
Set the scan settings for the originals. See the common setting menus in scanning for more details.
❏ Scan Report
Prints a history that shows when and to which email address scanned images have been sent.

Scanning to a Network Folder or FTP Server
You can save the scanned image to a specied folder on a network. You can specify the folder by entering a folder
path directly, but it may be easier if you register the folder information in the contacts list rst.
Note:
Before you use this feature, make sure the printer's Date/Time and Ti m e

settings are correct. Access the menus
from Setup > System Administration > Common Settings > Date/Time Settings.

Place the originals.
Note:
If you want to scan multiple originals or make a 2-sided scan, place all of the originals on the ADF.
2. Enter Scan from the home screen.
