4. Func on and inte nded us e
Wi th t he Radi ator Th erm ost at Mod el Q you ca n c onve nien tly reg ulat e th e r oo m
temperature. Thanks to pre- programmed or indivi dually t ailored heang and co oling
phases, the desired temperature can be comfor tably adjus ted. The r adiator thermost at
ts to all common radiator val ves and is easy to mount using snap- on fas tening and
wit hou t havi ng to i nter v ene in t he hea ng s ys tem .

9. Removal o f the exi sng t hermos tat
The radiator thermostat is easy to install, and can be done without draining heang
wate r or i nter v enin g in t he he an g sy ste m. No spe cial too ls ar e req uir ed, n or do es
the h ean g have to b e sw itc hed o .
Th e sna p- o n f aste nin g of the r adi ator ther mos ta t c an b e us ed un ive rs all y and wit h
the ad apte r VA80 fo r val ves of th e mos t pop ula r manu fac tu rer s wit h a threa d size of
M30 x 1 .5 mm .
By mean s of the ada pte rs supp lie d, t he d evi ce can be ins ta lle d on ra diat or val ves of
t ype D anfo ss R A , R AV and R AVL.

10. Adapters for Danfo ss valves
Th e pr ovi ded ada pter s (R A , R AV an d R AVL) can be use d fo r in st all ao n on Dan fos s
val ves . Th e arr ang emen t of the sui tab le adapt er ring for the app rop riat e val ve can be
fou nd in th e fol lowi ng gure s.
Th e RA an d R AV a d a p t e r s h a v e b e e n m a n u f a c t u r e d w i t h p r e - t e n s i o n i n o r d e r t o
provide a beer seat. Use a screwd river during install aon if necessa ry, and bend it
op en sl igh tly in th e vi cin it y of the s cr ew. Aer cli ppi ng o nto t he v alv e bo dy, pl ease
a ach t he ada pte r usin g the p rov ide d sc rew an d nut .
T h e s p i g o t e x t e n s i o n (I ) mus t b e ed to t he v alve pin of R AV v alves prior to in stallaon.
Th e ad apt er R AVL does not have t o b e s cre wed. Fit the s hor t spi got ext ensi on (I )
on the v alve pin b efore installaon. You c an simp ly b reak o the spigot ex tension
con nec te d to th e adap ter.

a nom inal te mpe rat ure of e. g. 20. 0 °C is set bu t the r oom p res ent s with o nly 18 .0 °C ,
an o se t of -2.0 °C n eed s to be s et.
