INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION

 Remove the packaging materials and keep out of the reach of children. After removing packaging,

check device for damage or any evidence that may point to a defect/failure. If in doubt, do not use

the device but refer to your supplier for checks/repairs.

 Generally the fire will be placed against a wall. Place the heater on a sturdy, flat surface. The

aspiration grilles are located on the bottom; make sure they are never blocked! So do not place the

fire on high-pile carpets and never on soft surfaces like mattresses, cushions or blankets.

 Choose a suitable location for the fireplace, at least one metre from all obstructions, walls and

flammable materials (see safety instructions) and in the vicinity of a 16 Amp (at least) fused,

earthed electrical socket (protected by a 30 mA earth leakage circuit breaker).

OPERATING

 Check that the details on the data plate correspond to those of the electrical supply which you wish

to use for the fireplace. Do not use the same connection for any other equipment.

 The control switches are located behind the metal panel on the front of the heater. Pull out the

panel and you will find three control switches:

By pressing the bottom switches (I depressed) you will make the following happen:

Switch 1: switch on the power supply to the heater and the flame effect (without

heating) (O depressed is OFF - I depressed is ON).

Switches 1+2: switch on 1000 Watt heating, with flame effect

Switches 1+2+3: switch on 2000 Watt heating, with flame effect

 Check whether switch 1 is set to OFF (O depressed)

 Connect the plug to an earthed power outlet.

 Press switch 1 and, depending on what you want, switches 2 and 3 to start using the heater.

 Switch off the heater by resetting all switches to the OFF position. Remove the plug from the power

outlet; do this whenever the heater is not in use!

Note: If you use the fire in a room with very little background noise, you may some noise caused by the

flame effect. This is normal and no reason for concern.
