Kapitel L Overview
Function and use
Air dehumidifiers have a coolant circuit similar to that of an air-conditioning unit. The air de-
humidifier, however, unites the two heat exchangers (compressor and evaporator units), and
there is only one fan to circulate the air.
Model LE 56 draws in the "moist" room air through the inlet grille and the subsequent air fil-
ter where the moisture is "extracted" so that "dry" dry is returned to the room through the out-
let grille. The water extracted from the air is automatically collected in a tank. The removable
air filter cleans the intake air and therefore has to be cleaned regularly.
The regular air circulation induced by the dehumidifier diminishes the air humidity level rela-
tively quickly. The collected amount of water diminishes continuously as the air is unable to
take up new moisture.
The dehumidifying rate of the LE 56 dehumidifier depends greatly upon the conditions pre-
vailing at its point of operation:
room size
room temperature, and
relative humidity
The amount of water collected always increases with:
rising temperature and humidity levels
larger room volumes
the supply of new moisture
