The following applies for forced ventilation
Correct ventilation and de-aerating of the caravan is a prerequisite
for feeling comfortable inside the caravan. Vents for forced ventila-
tion have been integrated in the oor
j
of your caravan; for forced
de-aerating, they have been integrated in the roof bonnets
k
. You
must not interfere with their mode of operation.
Ventilation grille on the refrigerator (model-specic)
The ventilation bars provide the refrigerator with fresh air from outside
to ensure sucient cooling performance.
The ventilation grille

is
generally located at the bottom of the outer wall of the vehicle.
The
de-aeration bar
k
is located above the ventilation bar.
Cooking, wet clothing, etc., produces vapor. Every
person loses up to 35 g of water per hour. Therefore,
depending on the relative humidity, please ventilate
and de-aerate through the windows and roof bonnets
(see also "Winter operation").
The visible gapk between the inner frame of the roof
window and the panelling on the ceiling is not a defect.
It ensures that the forced ventilation that is mandatory in
caravans is complied with.
We recommend that you open the roof bonnets when-
ever you live in the caravan.
Under no circumstances may the safety ventilation be
shut, not even slightly.
There is a danger of suocation if ventilation openings
are blocked! Therefore, do not block ventilation openings.
Note the information on the cover plates. The cover
plates may only be used in winter if the refrigerator is
operated electrically verwendet werden.
We recommend that you remove the ventilation bars
when outside temperatures are very high. This creates
a high air circulation on the refrigerator and increases
cooling capacity. The ventilation grids must be rmly
mounted when it is raining or while driving.
Special cover plates should be used during winter
operation. You can buy these cover plates from your
dealer.
The ventilation openings must always be kept clean and
free of dust.
