Damaged and/or disposed of electrical or electronic devices must be dropped off at
the recycling stations intended for that purpose.
Important safety instructions for the charger and battery block
Should you come into contact with acid from the battery, immediately wash the acid off with
water. If acid gets into your eyes, immediately rinse your eyes with water and see a doctor at
once! The maximum charging time of the battery is approx. 100 minutes.
Important! When using battery-operated tools, basic safety precautions should be taken,
including those listed below, in order to reduce the risk of a fire, depleted batteries and personal
injury.
1. Read and heed the operating instructions and safety information for the charger and
battery block before use!
2. Important! Only use the charger and battery that were supplied by the manufacturer,
otherwise an accident may occur.
3. Protect the charger, battery block and power tool from moisture, e.g. from rain or snow.
4. Before using the charger, always check to ensure that all the cables are connected correctly.
5. If you discover damage to the power cables, you must discontinue using the charger. Have
the power cable replaced at once.
6. If you are not using the charger, the power plug must be disconnected from the outlet. Do
not pull the power plug by the power cable.
7. If the charger falls, or is subjected to some other serious physical shock, have it examined
for damage before the next use by a qualified specialist work shop. Damaged components
must be repaired.
8. Handle the battery block with care, never allow it to fall and do not strike it in any way.
9. Never try to repair the charger or battery block by yourself. Repairs must always be carried
out by a qualified specialist work shop, otherwise an accident may occur.
10. Before cleaning or servicing the charger or battery block, always pull the device’s power
plug out of the socket.
11. Never charge the battery block when the ambient temperature is under 10 °C or over 40 °C.
12. The air openings on the charger must always be free of obstruction.
13. The battery block must not be allowed to short-circuit. During a short-circuit, the current
flows at very high intensity. Over-heating, risk of fire or an exploded battery block may
result. This can lead to damage to the battery block or an increased risk of an accident for
the user.
Therefore:
• Do not connect any cables to the poles of the battery block.
• Ensure that no metallic objects (nails, staples, coins, etc.) are in the battery block
receptacle.
• Do not expose the battery block to water or rain.
• Only use the supplied battery block in combination with this battery-operated
drill/power screwdriver in order to prevent failures and/or hazards.
• Abattery block that is damaged or no longer chargeable must be disposed of as
special waste. Do not throw it away in ordinary household waste.
• Never throw the battery block into fire or water. It may explode!
