Electrical safety
Warning! When using electric tools, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury.
Read all these instructions before attempting to
operate this product and save these instructions.
Always check that the power supply
corresponds to the voltage on the rating
plate.
Class II machine – Double insulation –
You don’t need any earthed plug.
Replacing cables or plugs
Immediately throw away old cables or plugs
when they have been replaced by new ones. It is
dangerous to insert the plug of a loose cable in
the wall outlet.
Using extension cables
Only use an approved extension cable suitable
for the power input of the machine. The minimum
conductor size is 1.5 mm

. When using a cable
reel always unwind the reel completely.
3. BEFORE USING THE METAL

Check package contents
Check contents against list in this manual to
make sure each item is present.
Check for damage
Before using this item check each part listed is
undamaged.
Save packaging
Save major packaging for return of product for
service or repair.
Fully assemble
Ensure each item is fully and correctly
assembled before use.
The safety chain
Ensure the saw is unplugged from
mains.
The saw is fitted with a safety chain, which locks
the head down for storage or transportation.
To release the saw head:
• Push down on the handle and remove the
chain link from the hook/pin.
To lock the saw head down:
• Push down on the handle and put the link on
the hook/pin in the handgrip.
To install or remove a cutting disc

Ensure the saw is unplugged from
mains and the disc has stopped
rotating.
• Check the new disc is the correct type and
diameter and does not touch the edge of the
guard.
To remove the disc:
• Push the head of the machine a little bit
downwards
• Open the protection cover and secure this in
the open-position with help of the hook (6):
the hook can be attached into the left
underside of the handgrip (2)
• Remove the wing nut from the cover (A).
• Push the cover upwards to expose the disk-
retaining bolt.
• Push the disc stopper pin, which is located on
the motor casing just below the handle,
towards the disc.
• Keeping the pin depressed, rotate the disc by
hand until the pin engages.
• Use the 17mm. box wrench (B) (supplied) to
undo the disc-retaining bolt (1) anticlockwise.
• Remove the bolt with its washer and lock
washer, and then remove the outer disc flange.
• To remove the disc, place the upper protective
cover completely upwards
To install a new disc:
• Clean the flanges, shaft, washers and guard
• Check the inner flange (3) is in place, right
way round and that the flats on the shaft (5)
are engaged with those on the flange.
• Fit the adaptor ring (supplied) to the new disc
if using a 25.4 mm bore disc.
• Put the disc onto the shaft observing the
correct rotation if required, the machines
rotation is marked on the guard casing.

• Skiven afmonteres ved at placere den øvre
afskærmning, så den vender helt opad.
Montering af ny skive:
• Rengør flangerne, aksel, spændeskiver og
skærm.
• Check, at den inderste flange (3) er sat i og
sidder rigtigt hele vejen rundt, og at de flade
dele på akslen (5) griber ind de rigtige steder
på flangen.
• Sæt adapterringen (medfølger) på den nye
skive, hvis skiven har et hul på 25,4 mm.
• Sæt skiven på akslen og vær opmærksom på
korrekt rotationsretning; maskinens
rotationsretning er vist på skærmen.
• Sæt den yderste flange på igen med bolt og
spændeskiver, og stram den til med hånden.
• Lås akslen med skivestopperen og stram
bolten til med gaffelnøglen og pas på ikke at
overspænde bolten.
• Drej skiven rundt med hånden for at checke,
at skivestopperen er ude.
• Monter skærmen (A) igen og fastgør den med
vingemøtrikken.
4. BRUG AF METALKAPSAVEN
Før brug:
• Kontroller, at spændingen på saven svarer til
netspændingen, og at stikket og ledningen
ikke er beskadiget.
• Kontroller, at den maksimale
omdrejningshastighed, der står på skiven, er
den samme som eller større end maskinens
maksimale omdrejningshastighed (=
3800/min.). Maskinens hastighed må ikke
være større end hastigheden, der står på
skiven.
• Sørg for at have korrekt type skive til
maskinen og materialet, og at skiven er
monteret korrekt.
• Brug ikke andre dele end de, der følger med
maskinen, så du er sikker på, skiven
monteres korrekt.
• Kontroller, at skivestopperen ikke er trykket
ind.
• Check skiven for beskadigelser. Brug ikke
revnede skiver, eller skiver der på anden
måde er beskadiget.
• Kontroller, at skærmen funktionerer korrekt –
maskinen må kun bruges, hvis skærmen er
monteret og funktionerer korrekt.
• Lad motoren gå i tomgang i 60 sekunder. Hvis
der konstateres unormal vibration eller anden
fejl, skal maskinen stoppes, og man skal
checke og udbedre, før der fortsættes.
Betjening
Sæt stikket i en stikkontakt og tænd.
Vær opmærksom på, at maskinen har
en stærk motor og, at arbejdsemnet
skal klemmes fast, for at maskinen kan
fungere sikkert.
Start maskinen
Tryk på den gule låseknap foroven på håndtaget.
Bemærk: Dette er en sikkerhedskontakt, der kun
virker, hvis afbryderen holdes inde. Der startes
igen ved igen at trykke på låseknappen.
Stop maskinen
Slip afbryderen.
Skæreinstruktioner
• Sæt maskinen på en tør, vandret overflade og
sørg for, at gummidupperne har fat og ikke
kan skride.
• Lad skiven være oppe på fuldt omdrejningstal,
før der skæres.
• Tryk den roterende skive forsigtigt mod
arbejdsemnet, skær langsomt og forsigtigt –
det er en meget stærk maskine, og den
støder eller blokerer, hvis skiven trykkes for
pludseligt og hårdt på arbejdsemnet.
• Stop straks maskinen, hvis skiven blokeres.
• Skær ikke arbejdsemner, der er mere end 125
mm dybde og 205 mm lange.
• Lad maskinen stoppe helt og sluk, før et
arbejdsstykke fjernes og et nyt lægges i.
• Under brug skal skiven jævnligt checkes for
beskadigelser og slitage, og den skal
udskiftes om nødvendigt.
• Sluk på maskinen, før stikket tages ud af
stikkontakten.
Justering af skæredybde
Sørg for, at maskinen er slukket, og
stikket taget ud af stikkontakten.
• Skæredybden kan justeres, så der kan
kompenseres for slitage af skiven under brug.
