4. Protect yourself against electric shocks
Avoid accidental physical contact with the metal
parts of the compressor, such as pipes, tanks or
metal parts connected to the ground.
Never use the compressor near water or in a humid
place.
5. Disconnecting the compressor
Disconnect the compressor from the electrical
source, and de-pressurize the tank completely
before inspecting, maintaining, cleaning, replacing or
checking any part of the machine.
6. Starting up unexpectedly
Do not transport the compressor while it is connec-
ted to the electric source or when the tank is under
pressure. Make sure that the switch of the pressure
regulator is in OFF position before connecting the
compressor to the electrical source.
7. Correctly store the compressor
When the compressor is not used, store it in a dry
room far away from atmospheric influences. Keep
away from children.
8. Workplace
Keep the workplace clean and clear the area from
unnecessary tools. Properly ventilate the workplace.
Do not use the compressor in the presence of inf-
lammable liquids or gas. The compressor can cause
sparks during operation. Do not use the compressor
in the presence of paint, petrol, chemical agents,
adhesives and all other inflammable or explosive
materials.
9. Keep away from children
Make sure that no children or any other person
comes in contact with the compressor’s feeder
cable. All non-authorized persons must be kept at a
safe distance from the workplace
10. Working clothes
Do not wear loose cloths or jewellery; these can
become trapped in the moving parts. If necessary,
wear a cap for covering the hair.
11.Do not use the feeder cable in the wrong way
Do not remove the plug by pulling the feeder cable.
Keep the cable away from heat, oil or cutting sur-
faces. Do not step on the electric cable or crush it
with inappropriate weights.
12.Maintain the compressor with care
Observe the instructions for lubrication (not appli-
cable to oil-free). Regularly check the feeder cable. If
the cable is damaged it must be repaired or replaced
by an authorized help service. Check the outside of
the compressor for visible defects. If necessary, turn
to the nearest help service for assistance.
13.Electric extension cords for use outside
Only use electric extension cords suitable for use
outside and marked for this purpose when the com-
pressor is used outside.
14. Attention
Pay attention to what you are doing. Use your com-
mon sense. Do not use the compressor when you
are tired. Never use the compressor when you are
under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication
that can cause drowsiness.
15.Checking defective parts or loss of air
When a protection or other parts are damaged,
these must be checked thoroughly before using the
compressor again, to determine if these can function
like provided in safety. Check the alignment of the
moving parts, pipes, manometers, pressure reduc-
tion machines, pneumatic connections and every
other part that can be of importance for a normal
functioning.
Each damaged part must be repaired correctly or
replaced by an authorized help service or replaced as
specified in the manual.
Do not use the compressor when the pressure regu-
lator is defective.
16.Use the compressor only for the specific
applications in this manual
The compressor is a machine that produces com-
pressed air.
Never use the compressor for applications not spe-
cified in this manual.
17.Use the compressor correctly
Use the compressor in accordance with the instruc-
tions of this manual. Do not let children or persons
not familiar with its operation use the compressor.
18.Check if every screw, bolt and cover is tighte-
ned solidly
Check if every screw, bolt and plate is mounted soli-
dly. Regularly check if these are tightened properly.
19.Keep the suction grille clean
Keep the ventilation grille of the motor clean. Clean
this grille regularly when the work environment is
very dirty.
20.Operate the compressor at nominal voltage
Operate the compressor at the voltage indicated on
the plate with the electrical specifications. When the
compressor is used at a voltage higher than the nomi-
nal voltage, the motor will run quicker and the unit
can be damaged as a result of which the motor burns.
21.Never use the compressor when it is defective
Stop the compressor immediately when it is produ-
cing weird noises or exaggerated vibrations during
operation or seems to be defective, and check the
functionality or contact the nearest authorized help
service. Solvents like petrol, thinners, diesel or other
agents containing alcohol can damage the plastic
parts; do not rub these products onto the plastic
parts. If necessary, clean these parts using a soft cloth
with water and soap or with proper liquids.
23.Use only original spare parts
The use of non-original spare parts terminates the
guarantee and causes the compressor to function
poorly. The original spare parts can be obtained from
the authorized dealers.
24.Do not modify the compressor
Do not modify the compressor. Contact an authori-
zed help service for advice with respect to all repairs.
A non-authorized modification can diminish the
compressor’s perfomances, but can also cause
serious injuries to persons not possessing the neces-
sary technical knowledge for carrying out the modifi-
cations.
