If the starting position of the workpiece to be sawn is not the side, or if no hole has been drilled,
you must cut in. To do this, proceed as follows:
• Put the jigsaw on the rounded front of the bottom plate .
• Switch on the appliance and slowly lower the jigsaw until it touches the workpiece.
• Let the jigsaw cut into the workpiece gently without forcing it.
• When you are through the workpiece, take the jigsaw out of the hole.
• Place the appliance in the normal position in the sawn hole and continue the saw cut.
You can also cut in by first drilling a hole in the workpiece. To do this, use a bit that makes a hole
big enough for the saw blade. Now you can carry out the steps described under 'Sawing'.
5. MAINTENANCE
During maintenance and cleaning always remove the mains plug from the socket.
Never use liquids when cleaning electrical parts of the jigsaw.
Maintain the jigsaw regularly to prevent unnecessary problems. This will ensure that your
appliance remains in optimum condition.
• Keep the bottom plate clean so that no inaccuracies occur during sawing.
• Keep the outside of the jigsaw clean so that all moving parts can move accurately and
without wear.
• Keep the ventilation slots of the motor clean so that these do not overheat.
• If the carbon brushes are worn the jigsaw will run noisily and unevenly. In the end the jigsaw
will no longer work. Have the carbon brushes replaced by an authorized service centre.
• Lubricate the saw blade guide regularly.
Malfunctions

• The motor is being
overloaded by
workpieces that are too
big.
• The motor is defective.
• Saw at a lower speed so
that the motor can cool
down.

Slå redskabet fra omgænde i tilfælde af:
• Et defekt netstik, netledning eller skader på ledningen;
• En defekt afbryder;
• Gnister I kullene eller gnister omkring kommutatoren;
• Røg eller lugt af brændt isoleringsmateriale.
Elektrisk sikkerhed
Kontroller altid, at netspændingen er den samme som på maskinens typeskilt.
Maskinen er dobbeltisoleret i henhold til EN50144; derfor er jordledning ikke
nødvendig.
Udskiftning af netledninger eller stik
Kasser straks gamle ledninger og stik, der er blevet udskiftet. Det er farligt at slutte en løs
netledning til et stik til elnettet.
Brug af forlængerledninger
Brug altid kun forlængerledninger, der er egnede til maskinens nominelle effekt. Min.
åretykkelse er 1,5 mm

. Rul altid ledningen helt ud, når du bruger en forlængerledning på
spole.
3. MONTERING AF TILBEHØR
Valg af sav
Stiksaven er udstyret med 3 save, hver med forskellige tænder. Profilen og tænderne varierer
med det materiale De vil skære i. Fine savtænder vil give Dem et glat og præcist snit. Brug en
smal profil hvis De vil save kurver eller vil save figurer. Maksimumtykkelsen af arbejdsemnet er
70 mm (for træ). Maksimumtykkelsen er 110 mm med særlige savklinger. Ved valget af den
rette sav, gå frem som følger:
• Prøv først en sav med grove savtænder.
• Hvis De ikke får et glat og præcist snit, prøv da en sav med finere savtænder.
• Til plastik, aluminium og stål brug altid en sav med meget fine savtænder.
Som regel vil De arbejde hurtige men mindre præcist med grove savtænder end De vil med fine
savtænder. For det bedste resultat, sørg altid for at saven er skarp. Stiksaven er egnet til alle de
savklinger der kan fås i handelen.
