ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Always check that the voltage on the batterypack
corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Also
check that your mains voltage corresponds to the input voltage
of the battery charger.
The batterycharger is double insulated in accordance
with EN-60335; therefore no earth wire is required.
Replacing cables or plugs
Immediately throw away old cables or plugs when they
have been replaced by new ones. It is dangerous to insert
the plug of a loose cable in the wall outlet.
Using extension cables
Only use an approved extension cable suitable for the po-

INSERTING AND REMOVING THE DRILL
BITS (Fig. B)
In addition to bits the machine can also hold screw bits
with a hexagonal shaft.
• Loosen the chuck by holding one section (5b) and tur-
ning the other (5a)
• Position the drill bit shaft in the take up of the chuck.
• Fasten the chuck until the drill bit is tight.
•Open the chuck again when you want to exchange the
drill bit.
INSERTING AND REMOVING OF THE
BATTERY
•Make sure that the direction switch (2) is in middle
position to prevent the machine from switching on
unexpectedly.
• Place the accumulator in the bottom of the machine,
as shown in the diagram, until it engages. After the ac-
cumulator is placed, it can be fully rotated in four
steps of 90º. There is no need to remove the accumu-
lator from the machine to do this.
• Before removing the accumulator, depress the relea-
se button (6) and then take the accumulator out from
the bottom of the machine
