4.2 TROUBLESHOOTING

Troubleshooting and eventual control and/or maintenance operations must be performed by

qualified personnel.

For servicing the refrigerating circuit of the machine, contact a refrigeration engineer.

TROUBLE POSSIBLE CAUSE AND REMEDY

 Illuminated switch of the control

panel off.

1. Check the mains for presence of voltage.

2. Check cabling.

 The compressor doesn’t start. 1. Check the protection fuse, and eventually replace it (aM delayed type).

2. Check cabling and the timing card.

3. Activation of the internal thermal protection; wait 1 hour and check. If the

fault persists, stop the dryer and call a refrigeration engineer.

4. Check the electrical components of the compressor.

5. Short circuit in the compressor. Replace it.

 The fan is not turning. 1. Check cabling.

2. Defective or burned out thermostat (350 ÷ 750 l/min dryers only), stop the

dryer and contact a refrigeration engineer.

3. Defective or burned out fan pressure switch, stop the dryer and contact a

refrigeration engineer.

4. Short circuit in the fan. Replace it.

 Condensate drain absent (no

water nor air).

1. Check cabling.

2. Pre-filter of the drainage system dirty, clean it.

3. The coil of the drainage solenoid vale is burned out, replace it.

4. Drainage solenoid valve clogged/jammed, clean or replace it.

5. Check the electronic card, if the trouble persists, replace it.

6. The temperature on the display of the control panel is lower then the nominal

value, see specific section.

 Air flows continuously through

the condensate drainage.

1. Drainage solenoid valve jammed, clean or replace it.

2. Verify the condensate drainage times set on the timing card.

3. Check the timing card, if the trouble persists, replace it.

 Water in the line tubing

downstream the dryer.

1. Dryer non operating, start it up.

2. The by-pass system (if present) is open, close it.

3. Condensate drainage absent, see specific section.

4. The temperature on the display of the control panel is higher then the

nominal value, see specific section.

 The temperature on the display

then the nominal value.

1. Check the compressed air inlet/outlet for proper connection.

2. The compressor doesn’t start, see specific section.

3. The fan doesn’t turn, see specific section.

4. The flow rate and/or temperature of the air entering the dryer are higher then

the nominal values, restore the nominal conditions.

5. The ambient temperature is higher than the nominal values, restore the

nominal conditions.

6. The condenser is dirty, clean it.

7. Condensate drain absent (no water nor air), see specific section.

8. Check the control probe in the evaporator for improper positioning or fault.

9. Gas leakage in the refrigerating circuit. Stop the dryer and call a refrigeration

engineer.
