► On devices with a release bu tton: Slide the
release button in direction of the arrow (1).
► Lift up the LCD screen (2).

► Press the ON/OFF switch (1) for a round 1
second to switch th e n otebook on.

Windows XP
You can configure the power button with Start - (Settings) - Control Panel -
Performance and Maintenance - Power Options - Advanced.
Windows Vista
You can configure the pow er button with Start - (Settin gs) - Control
Panel - Mobile P C - Power Options.
If you have assigned a password, you must enter this when requested to do so, in order
to start the operating system. Further information ca n be found in the "Professional
Notebook" operating manual, section entitled "Security f unctions".
