Wind the spool with new line
CAUTION!
Always use a cutting line with a diameter of
Œ,6 mm (max.). If a thicker line is used, the
motor may overheat or fail.

Remove the line spool as descibed
above.
◼
Clean the line spool, remove resdues of
cutting line.
◼
Take approx. 8 metres of new cutting line
and fold in half.
NOTE
Always use the specified line length!
The line may not be released automaticly if
it is too long.
◼
Insert the folding end of cutting line into
the retaining lug of spool.
◼
Wind the lines in tight, even layers onto
the lower and upper halves of the spool.
Observe the winding direction indicated
on the spool!

Press the line ends (approx. Œ5 cm) into
the two opposing retaining slots.
◼
Install the line spool as descibed above.
Storage
◼
Store the unit in a dry and frost-free place
(Œ0-œ5 °C).
◼
Store the battery and the unit separately.
◼
Charge the battery before storing the unit
in winter.
◼
Keep the unit, in particular its plastic
components, away from brake fluids,
petrol, petroleum products, penetrating
oil, etc. They contain chemical substan-
ces which may damage, attack or
destroy the plastic components of the
unit.
◼
Fertilisers and other garden chemicals
contain substances which may have
a highly corrosive effect on the metal
parts of the unit. Therefore do not store
your unit near these substances.
Repairs
Check the unit for damage. Repairs may be
carried out by an authorised customer
service centre only.
Disposal information
WARNING!
Render redundant garden tools unusable:
–
mains operated tool by removing the
power cord,
–
battery operated tool by removing the
battery.
EU countries only:
Do not throw electric power tools into the
household waste! In accordance with the
European Directive œ0Œœ/Œ9/EC on Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment and
transposition into national law used electric
power tools must be collected separately
and recycled in an environmentally friendly
manner.
Recycling raw materials instead of
waste disposal.
Device, accessories and packaging should be
recycled in an environmentally friendly
manner. Plastic parts are identified for
recycling according to material type.
