Strainer filter
You can clean the strainer filter in the cooking
compartment floor as necessary. When cooking fish or
meat, we recommend cleaning the appliance after each
use.
1Turn the strainer filter anticlockwise and remove it.
2Remove any food remnants from the strainer filter.
3Rinse it out under running water. If it is very dirty,
wash it in the dishwasher.
4Insert the strainer filter and turn it clockwise as far
as it will go.
Never operate the combi-steam oven without the strainer
filter in place.
Cleaning programme
The cleaning programme removes stubborn dirt. A
cleaning cartridge (a) is screwed into the top of the
cooking compartment. The cooking compartment is
cleaned, rinsed and dried fully automatically. The
strainer filter (b) must remain inserted in the cooking
compartment floor while the cleaning programme is in
progress.
The cleaning programme takes around 4 hours
20 minutes from beginning to end. The cleaning
programme runs automatically. After around 3 hours
40 minutes, drain the two water tanks and fill the fresh-
water tank.
With normal use, we recommend cleaning the appliance
with the cleaning programme four times a year.
Depending on how you use your appliance, more
frequent cleaning may be required.
If there are a lot of food remnants, do not allow them to
burn on. Start the cleaning programme as soon as the
appliance has cooled to 40 °C. You can check the
temperature in the cooking compartment by touching
the ( symbol.
You need special cleaning cartridges for the cleaning
programme. These are available from the after-sales
service or from our online shop (CL S10 040 set with
4 cleaning cartridges, order number 00311703).
The cleaning cartridges can only be used once and
cannot be refilled. Do not use any other cleaning
products.
Caution!
Risk of damage to the cooking compartment
Use cleaning cartridges for the cleaning programme
only. Never place cleaning cartridges in the cooking
compartment when it is hot or heat them up in the
cooking compartment.
Notes
– The cleaning programme cannot be started until the
appliance has cooled down to below 40 °C.
– Remove all accessories from the cooking
compartment before you start the cleaning
programme (wire rack, cooking containers, core
temperature probe).
– Remove the worst of the food remnants from the
cooking compartment.
– The strainer filter must remain inserted in the
cooking compartment floor while the cleaning
programme is in progress. If the strainer filter is
removed before the cleaning programme is started,
the cooking compartment will not be clean at the
end of the programme.

cleaning programme is in progress.
– Do not attempt to open the appliance door while the
cleaning programme is in progress. Otherwise,
water may leak out.

end. The cleaning programme cannot be cancelled.
