Device Care

NOTICE

Do not store the device where prolonged exposure to extreme

temperatures can occur, because it can cause permanent

damage.

Avoid chemical cleaners, solvents, and insect repellents that can

damage plastic components and finishes.

Secure the weather cap tightly to prevent damage to the USB

port.

Cleaning the Device

Wipe the device using a cloth dampened with a mild

detergent solution.

Wipe it dry.

Troubleshooting

Resetting the Device

You can reset the device if it stops responding.

Hold the device key for 8 seconds.

Thermal Safety Shutdown

To prevent overheating, the Varia

device may turn off when

operated at a high intensity in warm, stagnant air. The status

LED is red until the device cools down. You should use the

device outdoors.

Replacement O-rings

Replacement bands (O-rings) are available for the standard

mount in two sizes:

• 1.3 × 1.5 × 0.9 in. AS568-125

• 1.7 × 1.9 × 0.9 in. AS568-131

Updating the Software

Before you can update your device software, you must have a

Garmin Connect

account, and you must download the Garmin

Express application.

Connect the device to your computer using the USB cable.

When new software is available, Garmin Express sends it to

your device.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Do not disconnect your device from the computer during the

update process.

Ich habe auf meinem Garmin Edge Explore 2 mit Varia RTL 516 die Smart Bike Lights App aus dem IQ Store installiert .
Funktioniert perfekt ! ( RNT )

Nur das Datenfeld verschwindet ab und zu sporadisch kurz und es erscheint dort „ no Network „ !
Hat aber keinen Einfluss auf die Funktion , ist nur nervig .
