SOLVING PROBLEMS
If any problems occur during operation, you will find solutions in this section.
Problem Reason The Solution
The appliance doesn’t
turn on
AND/OR
the motor doesn’t start
AND/OR
the blade assembly
doesn’t rotate.
The appliance is not live. Ensure that the appliance is plugged in.
Ensure that the wall power outlet is live.
The safety interlock is
active, because the blade
assembly or the jar is not
installed correctly.
The blade assembly must be screwed correctly onto the
jar and may not be misaligned. Turn the blade assem-
bly approx. 1/8 revolutions clockwise onto the jar. See:
‘Assembling the Appliance’.
The blade assembly is
blocked.
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and remo-
ve the obstacles in the jar. Cut your food in smaller pieces
before processing. Process in smaller portions and in short
pulses. See: ‘Processing Your Food’.
The thermal safety
switch is active.
Unplug and leave the appliance cool down for approx. 30
minutes. Then try again.
There is a severe pro-
blem.
Unplug the appliance and call your customer service for sup-
port. See: ‘Information and Service’.
Motor stops during ope-
ration without any appa-
rent reason.

Food is too finely chop-
ped or too watery.
The food has been over
processed.
The appliance will process your food in a few seconds. Use
short operating for best results.
The food is unevenly
chopped and lumpy.
Ingredients cling to the
inner walls of the jar.
Operate the appliance in short pulses to get an even result.
The jar is overfilled. Process your food in smaller batches. For frozen ingredients,
pulse in short intervals of 2-5 seconds.
The pieces of food are
too large.
Cut your food in smaller pieces (2 cm at the maximum).
You can not get snow
from ice cubes.
The ice has not been
cold enough and has
been thawed already.
For best result use ice straight from the freezer.
You are not pulsing pro-
perly.
Try operating in short intervals.
The jar has been wet,
when filling in the ice.
Make sure the jar is completely dry before adding ice.
