CARE AND CLEANING

WARNING! Ensurethat the appliance is always out of reach of young children.

Always switch off and unplug the appliance and wait some minutes to let the appliance

cool down, before cleaning the appliance. Do not touch the heating bar or sealing bar

shortly after operation. Always wipe off spilled liquids immediately. Do not spill or pour

any liquids on or into the appliance or power cord. Do not immerse the appliance,

power cord, or power plug in water or any other liquid. Do not place the appliance or

power cord on wet surfaces to avoid risk of electric shock. Donotplacetheappliance

oranypartofitinanautomaticdishwasher.

Do not use any hard or sharp-edged objects, corrosive chemicals, disinfectants, abrasive

cleaners, or metal scouring pads for cleaning the appliance or any part of it. Clean the

appliance immediately after each use to avoid that leftover food will stick to the heating

bar, or burn-in or carbonize on the heating bar. Do not poke or scratch with any foreign

objects in the appliance or the connectors of the power cord or vacuum hose. Especially

ensure not to damage the vacuum gaskets, heating bar, and sealing bar when cleaning

the appliance. Do not use violence.

When disconnecting the power cord, do not pull the power cord, but always grasp the

plugs.

1. Unplug the appliance from the mains power supply and from the power socket of

the appliance. For this, grasp the plugs.

2. Carefully take out the dripping tray, avoiding to spill any liquid in the vacuum cham-

ber. Clean the dripping tray in warm dishwater.

3. Wipe the exterior of the vacuum sealer and power cord using a soft damp cloth.

Take care not to spill or drip water or any other liquids on or in the appliance.

CAUTION: Take special care not to damage the vacuum gaskets. Additionally, in

the vacuum chamber there are tiny holes used for sucking out the air. Carefully ensure

nottospillanyliquidsintotheseholes.

4. Special care is necessary when cleaning the interior of the appliance. Carefully,

wipe the vacuum chamber, heating bar and sealing bar with a soft damp cloth,

moistened with warm dishwater. Doing so, ensure not to damage the vacuum gas-

kets.

5. If required, wipe the power cord and vacuum hose with a damp cloth.

6. To dry the vacuum gaskets, it is best to dab with a dry cloth to avoid damage.

7. Wipe the other parts of the appliance dry. Then let dry naturally for approx. ½ hour

out of reach of young children. For this, leave the lid of the appliance open.

8. Replace the dripping tray and close the lid.

IMPORTANT: The lid cannot be closed correctly, if the dripping tray is inserted in

wrong orientation. In this case, turn the dripping tray by 180° and try again.
