WARNING: Young children must be supervised that they do not play with
the appliance or any part of it. The decanting bottle is fragile. Ensure that the
decanting bottle will not be chipped or fall or roll down from the storing shelf. To
avoid severe injuries due to splinters and just to be on the safe side, replace the
decanting bottle when the decanting bottle has been subject to inadmissible strain
(e.g. mechanical load or shock, extreme temperature variation).
Important: To avoid damage and injuries, we strongly recommend to store the
decanting bottle in the shipping foam box, in which the decanting bottle has been
packed for transport.
1. When the appliance is not in use, always switch off (press the “Power” button) and
unplug the appliance from the power supply. Remove the decanting bottle from the
appliance. Then pull out the plug of the power cord from the back of the appliance.
2. Clean the appliance and all parts and accessories (see: “Care and Cleaning”)
before storage.
CAUTION: Do not grasp the appliance at the power cord for moving. Always
remove the decanting bottle before moving or cleaning the appliance. Otherwise,
the decanting bottle could fall.
When removing the battery, always ensure not to short-circuit the terminals of the
battery by contact with any electrically conducting object.
3. When the appliance is not in use for an extended period of time (some weeks),
always remove the battery from the battery compartment (see: “Installing or
Replacing the Battery"). Check the battery for any type of damage or corrosion
(see: “Important Safeguards for Electrical Appliances”). Dispose of damaged
batteries using the local collection facilities. If the battery is in proper working
order, it is best to store the battery in a small, uncovered plastic box. This way,
you avoid damage, if the battery leaks unnoticed.
4. After removing the decanting bottle, grasp the housing of the appliance at both
sides and place the appliance on a suitable surface, where it is clean and dry
and the appliance is protected against inadmissible strain (e.g. moisture, electric
or mechanic shock, frost, direct sunlight) and out of reach of young children.
5. We recommend to store the decanting bottle in the shipping foam box to protect
the decanting bottle from any damage.
