❐ Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not allow

the cord to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Someone could catch

him/herself and pull down the device.

❐ Only use and store the device out of the reach of children and animals. The mains

cord may also not be accessible for children. They could pull the device down with it.

Electricity – Danger of electrocution!

❐ Set up the device so that there is no risk of the device, the mains cord or the mains

plug falling in or coming into contact with water or other liquids.

❐ Never touch the device, the mains cord or the mains plug with wet hands.

❐ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts.

The socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The

mains voltage must correspond to the technical data of the device. Only use proper

extension cords, whose technical data correspond to those of the device.

❐ Check the device for damages prior to each use. The device may not be used if the

device, the mains cord or mains plug are visibly damaged, if the device has fallen

down or experienced a malfunction.

❐ Do not disassemble the device. Only have repairs conducted by a qualiﬁ ed workshop

or by customer service.

❐ Only have a damaged mains cord repaired by the manufacturer, customer service or

a qualiﬁ ed professional.

❐ Turn the device off, disconnect the mains plug from the socket and allow the device

to cool off completely,

– if you are not using the device,

– if a fault occurs during operation,

– before a storm,

– before cleaning the device and the accessories.

❐ If you wish to remove the mains plug from the socket, do not pull on the cable, but

on the plug.

❐ Never leave the device unattended while it is operating.

Fire hazard

❐ Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come

into contact with hot surfaces.

❐ Attention! Danger of overheating! Do not place any highly ﬂ ammable materials such

as paper, cardboard or plastic in or on the device.

❐ The device should never be set up and used when highly ﬂ ammable materials are

nearby (curtains, textiles, etc.).

❐ Do not use the device if easily ﬂ ammable gases are present in the air. Never use the

device if a gas source is nearby.

❐ Keep the device away from heat sources, e.g. oven, stove, etc.

❐ Do not cover the device during operation to prevent a risk of ﬁ re. Make sure the room

is adequately ventilated when the device is in use.
