Inserting/changing the baking surfaces
ATTENTION!
❐ Burn hazard! The baking surfaces become very hot when in use. Always pull the mains plug
out of the socket and let the device cool off before changing the baking surfaces!
• Every baking surface has its own release button (see image A
and B).
• In order to remove the baking surface in the cover, push the
release button on the lid (A) and remove the baking surface.
• In order to remove the bottom baking surface, push the release
button on the bottom part of the device (B) and remove the
baking surface.
• When inserting the baking surfaces, you only have to take note
of the shape of the baking surfaces. Each baking surface has a
small groove on one side indicating in what direction the baking
surfaces have to be inserted in the device (see arrow in the
image); it makes no difference which baking surface you insert
in the cover or in the lower part of the device. If the baking sur-
faces have been inserted the right away around, you only have
to push them until they audibly lock into place.
Use
ATTENTION!
❐ Burn hazard! The device's baking surfaces get very hot. When fi lling the baking surfaces and
when removing the baked goods, be careful not to touch the baking surfaces!
❐ The device must always be in a horizontal position during operation and the lid must be closed.
❐ Scalding hazard! Steam may be emitted from the device. Be careful when opening or
closing the device.
❐ Place the device in a location where there is no risk of falling or getting pulled down by the cord!
Children and animals must be under supervision to ensure that they do not play with the device!
❐ Do not slide the device across the surface it is standing on in order to avoid abrasion of the feet.
❐ Do not use metal kitchen utensils or other sharp edged objects to remove baked goods in
order to not damage the non-stick coat of the baking surfaces!
❐ Make sure that you do not overfi ll the device! Excess batter may fl ow out on the sides of the
device. Furthermore, the device should generally be easy to close. Do not forcefully attempt
to close the device!
The baking surfaces have a non-stick coat. However, for best results, we recommend
that you grease them slightly with cooking oil or fat before baking for the fi rst time. Do
not use cooking spray as it may damage the non-stick coat!
