Use

ATTENTION!

• ATTENTION Hot surfaces! Parts of the device may become very hot during or directly

after use. Always use potholders or kitchen gloves when opening the lid or when re-

moving the cooking container or rice. Only take hold of the device by the handles!

• ATTENTION Scalding hazard due to steam emission! Be careful when opening the

lid or removing the cooking container. Always use potholders or kitchen gloves to

handle the device.

• Make sure that the cooking container has been correctly inserted! Do not use the

device if it has not been correctly assembled!

• Do not overﬁ ll the cooking container and never cook rice without water! Fill the cook-

ing container with no more than 5 level measuring cups of rice (the measuring cup

is included in the product contents). Always ﬁ ll the cooking container with two parts

water to one part rice.

• Never ﬁ ll the device housing with water or other liquids.

Cooking rice

Please note that the cooking time for whole grain or brown rice is slightly

longer than e.g. long grain rice. With whole grain rice, it is also recommended

that you add more water (approx. half a measuring cup) than two parts water

to one part rice as otherwise recommended.

1. Place the device on a dry, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant, ﬂ at surface at a suf-

ﬁ cient distance to ﬂ ammable objects.

2. Insert the cooking container in the device.

3. With the measuring cup, add the desired amount of rice (e.g. long grain rice) to the

cooking container. Make sure that you do not overﬁ ll the cooking container; add no

more than ﬁ ve level measuring cups of rice to the cooking container.

4. With the enclosed measuring cup, add the double the amount of water (e.g. two

measuring cups of water for every measuring cup of rice). If you use whole grain rice,

add an extra one half measuring cup of water.

5. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed 220 – 240 V socket.

6. Move the On/Off switch to position I.

7. Set the selector switch to the Cook position to start the cooking process. The cooking

indicator light will illuminate once the cooking process has started.

8. Once the cooking process has started, the device will automatically switch to the

Warm function for keeping the rice warm. The warm indicator light will illuminate

when the function for keeping the rice warm has been switched on.

9. Let the rice sit for approx. 5 – 10 minutes once the cooking process is complete be-

fore you remove the lid. This will ensure that the rice is cooked completely.

ATTENTION: Please note that the device does not switch off automatically

once the cooking process is complete. The function for keeping the rice

warm remains on until the device is switched off with the On/Off switch.

10. After use, switch the device off by moving the On/Off switch to the 0 position.

11. Then let the rice cooker cool off completely before you clean it.
