PICTURE / SOUND SETTINGS ---------------------------------------------------------

»Block Noise Reduction« – This function

can only be selected with digital receiver

sources and AV pre-sets. It reduces

any interference from artefacts (pixel

blocks) from digital programmes due to

MPEG compression (such as from DVB-T

receivers and lower transmission rates or

DVD players).It reduces any interference

»Microdimming« – Increases the level of de-

tails in dark pictures. The television divides

the screen into small sections and analyses

each section individually to determine the

best brightness value. This ensures that

more detailed pictures are obtained in dark

contents.

»MEMC« – Improves the display of moving

images through the additional computation

of intermediate pictures and is only avail-

able for devices from 32”. It is displayed

with a PPR of 400 (Picture Perfection Rate).

If the adjustment value is too high, this may

result in ghosting with poor transmission due

to the incorrect computation of the interme-

diate pictures.

Clearing Panel Noise

Panel Noise Clearing feature removes Image

Sticking problems that may occur on the screen

(shadows of images or channel logos that may

remain on the screen due to stationary images).

Panel Noise Clearing is performed

automatically after 2,000 hours of operation.

For this reason, the TV should be left in stand-by

mode. It should not be unplugged or de-ener-

gised.

Follow the steps specified below for manual

panel noise clearing operation when you

require it to be performed before 2000 hours of

operation.

Notes:

If the automatic panel noise clearing

operation is not performed within

2100 hours of operation, a warning for

performing of the panel noise clearing

operation is displayed on the screen and

the panel noise clearing is started.

We recommend that this operation is not

performed very frequently as frequent

performance of manual panel noise

clearing operation may have an adverse

effect on the performance of manual panel

noise clearing operation.

7 To prevent Image Sticking, a screen saver

is activated when a menu is displayed for 5

minutes without user intervention.
