Antennas
1 For FM (VHF) stations extend the telescopic antenna and tilt and turn it
to achieve the best reception.
Note:
If the FM signal is too strong, it is advisable to push in the telescopic
antenna.
In case of poor reception:
If your FM stereo reception is impaired by interference due to insufficient
signal strength, this can sometimes be rectified by setting the »FM
MONO. .FM ST.« switch to »FM MONO.«. The FM stereo indicator
goes out and the FM station is played in mono.
2 The radio recorder has a built-in rod antenna for MW reception. Turn
the radio recorder to point the antenna.
Radio reception
1 Switch on the radio recorder by moving the »RADIO TAPE/OFF CD«
function switch to »RADIO«.
– The »OPER.

« indicator lights up.
2 Select the frequency band (FM, MW) using the band selection switch.
3 Tune to the radio station using the »TUNING« knob.
– If you are tuned to an FM stereo station, the »FM STEREO« indicator
lights up.
4 Switch off the radio recorder by setting the function switch to the »TAPE/
OFF« position.
– The »OPER.

« indicator goes out.
