Mains operation with mains adapter
Note:
Check that the mains voltage on the type plate on the mains adapter corresponds to your
local mains supply.
If this is not the case, contact your specialist dealer.
1 Insert the plug of the mains adapter cable into the »DC IN 9 V
Ó
« socket (on the
back of the device).
2 Plug the adapter into the mains socket.
Caution:
The only way to disconnect the device from the mains supply is to pull out the plug.
Operation with a back-up battery
When operating with a mains adapter, the back-up battery ensures that stored settings are
not lost in the case of a power failure or if the device is briefly disconnected from the mains.
1 Press the catch and remove the lid to open the battery compartment on the bottom of the
device.
2 Insert the battery (1 x 9 V type IEC 6 LF 22), making sure the polarity is correct.
Notes:
Remove the battery if it is flat or when you know that the device will not be used for a
long period of time.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resulting from leaking batteries.
Environmental note:
Batteries, including those which do not contain heavy metal, should not be disposed of
with household waste. Always dispose of used batteries in compliance with local environ-
mental regulations.
Connecting an MP3 player or a USB memory stick
The device supports most USB memory sticks and MP3 players. The device is USB 2.0 com-
patible.
1 Switch off the device.
2 Plug the USB memory stick or the USB cable of the MP3 player into the USB interface
»« (on the front of the device).
Note:
The USB cable should not be longer than 2 m.
Switch off the device before removing the USB memory stick or the MP3 player cable.
